Tri-City Youth and Family Center is accepting resumes for Drug Court Counselor. The job desription is as follows.
Conducts intake and orientation with new participants referred by the court. Provides case management services and makes referrals to community-based services as needed. Develops appropriate treatment plans and maintains on-going records of treatment. Conducts group education and therapy sessions as well as individual counseling session. Assists clients that need residential treatment to get on waiting lists. Prepares weekly progress reports for drug court judge and drug court team to include attendance, behavior, progress, drug testing results, and recommendations. Performs exit interviews for clients. Participates in quality control of the files and peer reviews. SKILLS REQUIRED. Knowledge of the treatment of chemical dependency, modern treatment services and programs, individual and group behavior. Ability to conduct evaluations with verified evaluation tools. Ability to conduct and develop interesting and informative lecture groups. Ability to maintain control and set boundaries with manipulative populations. Ability to be a team player with the Drug Court team. Ability to use the computer as a communication tool and to create reports and new forms. QUALIFICATIONS. Bachelor level education in a related field (i.e. Psychology, Social Sciences or related human services field)and two years of experience in the substance abuse field with credentials in chemical dependency (CADC), preferred, OR Master degree in psychology, counseling, social work or related human services field. Current Oklahoma Licensure FOR LADC (Could be under supervision, supervision available). TO APPLY.
