Oklahoma Christian Counseling Association Second Annual Conference
This past year's OCCA conference featuring Dr. Lee Underwood from Regent University, Virginia Beach, Virginia was such a great success that another great workshop has been planned for this coming year! OCCA will host a conference on Saturday, February 27. The guest speaker for the event is Laressa Beliele, LPC and doctoral candidate from Regent University, Virginia Beach, Virginia. Ms. Beliele has formerly served in the public school system as a school counselor, and currently serves as a counselor in her local church and at Stepping Stones, Inc. in Bowly, OK. Stepping Stones, Inc. serves the needs of those suffering from severe mental illnesses. Additionally, Ms. Beliele has held numerous offices for OCA, including former OCA president. The topic for this conference is Integrating Spirituality into Counseling. The conference will be held in the private room of Panera Bread, located at 104th and South Pennsylvania. (Panera Bread is located in the same strip mall as the Homeland.) Registration and lunch will be from 12:30-1:00. Ms. Beliele's presentation will be from 1:00-4:00, and three CEUs have been requested.
We are offering an "Early Bird" special. If registration and payment is received by February 15, the cost for OCA members will be $30 and OCA nonmembers is $40. After February 15, the cost to OCA members will be $40 and nonmembers will be $50. This price includes lunch.
